Talkshow event Bolder75

I am director of talkshow event Bolder75. It’s a talkshow-in-a-church concept with a live audience of about 1500 people. We develop and produce the talkshow ourselves.

Throughout the past year, EO’s Renze Klamer hosted guests like Johan Derksen, Bert van der Veer, Piet Paulusma, Foppe de Haan, Filemon Wesselink and Fajah Lourens.

I never directed anything close to being a talkshow (and the camerateam never did anything like it either), which makes Bolder 75 a new and unique experience for me and the entire team.

#Bolder75

I can’t tell you how much fun I had, yesterday evening. I had the opportunity to direct Bolder75, the talkshow event of VBG Bethel, Drachten. The event was hosted by Renze Klamer and included a interviews of Fajah Lourens, Foppe de Haan, Jan Slagter and Otto de Bruijne.

I wanted to include the full video in this post. But as it turns out… that’s not allowed. Which makes this website your next stop (watch the February 3rd interview, it’s Dutch only).

Johan Derksen

Exactly a month ago I directed the tenth episode of talkshow event Bolder75. It was a great evening for a number of reasons, not the least because of the present of Johan Derksen. He’s a well known and very popular Dutch football pundit who, somehow, always ends up in heated debates about… well… anything. This evening was no exception.

For us, the camera operators and myself, this meant we had to be 110 percent focussed, which we were. That brings us to the second reason why it’s a great evening. This simply is our best Bolder75 telecast to date.

Tomorrow I’ll direct the eleventh episode of Bolder75. This time another incredible guest, Guido Weijers, is slated to appear. The team is ready, the script is prepared… It’s gonna be great!

Talkshow-in-a-church

Regular readers of this blog know I’m involved with Bolder75. It’s a talkshow-in-a-church concept which we developed and produced ourselves. It was quite a challenge to find out what set we needed, how and where the guests should sit, where to position the cameras, and on and on. As time progressed, we got better and raised the bar each time.

Above, I included a short compilation of the April 13th broadcast. This was the seventh Bolder75 episode we produced. I think it looks great and it’ll be quite a challenge to improve on it. But we’re gonna try this Sunday. In the (eighth) episode, Piet Paulusma will be one of the guests. It’s something to look forward to.

Until then… I’m just gonna enjoy the compilation of last month.
